3 Things Included In Our Brand Photoshoot Guide

Investing in a photoshoot for your brand is not cheap. It’s also a great way to market your brand. But how can you make the most out of your shoot?

Hopefully, you’ve hired a photographer who considers your brand, your goals, and your creative direction. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case.

Sometimes photographers are great at taking photos but don’t understand the difference between a shoot and a brand shoot.

Brand shoots have the goal to market a service, not a product. The key to making a photoshoot great for your brand is by having a creative director.

I work with a photographer, Jenn, and we are a great team! She's the badass photographer and I’m the creative director. Together we capture photos that are on-brand for your dream clients.

When we work with clients, I always create a brand photoshoot guide. This is a document with information about your shoot. Editorial photoshoots are very organized and they run smoothly. That’s what we want for your shoot.

Here are 3 things included in every brand photoshoot guide I make.

Styling

Outfits for your brand shoot are very important. You want to be comfortable but fashionable. The art direction for your photos will determine the outfits. The guide will give you color, cuts, and outfit inspiration for your shoot day.

Posing

Forget about those boring desk shots. Your brand shoot should ooze personality. You’ll have several posing ideas to practice before the shoot. Remember, you should be comfortable with what you’re doing.

Props

What are you going to use during your photoshoot? In a fashion photoshoot, you don’t just see the clothes. They have things like chairs, disco balls, balloons - you get it. We make you a list of props that are going to make you pop in the photos. By the way, we have a budget for these props so don’t worry, we got it.

Brand photoshoots are so fun and beneficial. Make sure you’re making the most of your shoot by having a guide that organizes things for you. Your photographer should help you with this. If not, take it into your hands to make it happen or find a creative to help you. Check out this guide we did for a boudoir client.
